Thanks to APAH’s longstanding partnership with YMCA, we have been able to offer programs for young residents such as karate classes at various APAH properties. Families speak highly of the different initiatives, so APAH continually explores ways to offer more. Through the YMCA and Project Bright Spot, APAH applied to and was awarded a scholarship for five residents to attend Camp Letts, a week-long overnight summer camp in Annapolis, Maryland. APAH also helped by providing transportation and supplies, such as sleeping bags and other camping equipment.

After camp ended, one parent shared, “The wonderful influence Camp Letts had on my children was incalculable and their experiences at YMCA will be treasured memories for years to come.”
