WHAT WE DO

Resident Services

Resident Services builds on residents’ strengths to support stability, well‑being, and opportunity, recognizing that a comfortable home is a firm foundation. Through trusted relationships, programming, and partnerships, we walk alongside residents as they pursue their goals and shape strong, connected communities.

Beyond Housing: Resident Services

Our Holistic Ecosystem of Services

True Ground’s support extends beyond a physical home. Our ongoing assistance and care for its residents includes emotional, educational, and community-based initiatives to foster growth and well-being.

Children, Youth, and Families

True Ground supports children, youth, and families as they learn, grow, and pursue new opportunities. Through youth enrichment, scholarships, children’s savings accounts, family-centered resource navigation, and connections to camps, school information, and educational programs, residents can access tools and relationships that support long-term success.

We also help families navigate systems and strengthen their ability to advocate for their goals.

Economic and Housing Stability

Stable housing creates room to plan, grow, and move toward future goals. True Ground partners with residents to strengthen financial resilience, maintain stability, and access resources that support everyday needs and long-term opportunity.

Programs include housing stability support, financial education, workforce connections, savings opportunities, household essentials, and personalized resource navigation.

Health and Wellness

True Ground supports residents of all ages as they pursue healthy, active, and connected lives. Through cooking classes, fitness programs, mental health resources, and wellness activities, residents can strengthen their well-being while building community.

The People’s Pantry brings fresh food and everyday resources closer to home, partnering with community organizations to support connection, nourishment, and well-being across True Ground communities. We also collaborate with local nonprofits to host additional onsite food distributions.

Seniors

True Ground supports older residents as they age-in-place with stability, connection, and purpose. Through proactive check-ins, resource navigation, and senior-focused programs, residents can access support tailored to their needs, stay socially connected, and remain active in the communities they call home.

Building Inclusive Communities

Expect Respect: Give it, Get it.

True Ground residents, volunteers, partners, and staff must maintain an inclusive environment that affirms every community member. Together, we create a culture where every person is treated with dignity and respect.

Stories of Impact

Meet Ms. Wise

Ms. Wise’s mother taught her that life’s unexpected changes should be viewed as an opportunity. While moving to Ilda’s Overlook was accidental, she says this opportunity opened the door for the excellent quality of life that she is enjoying. Ilda’s Overlook has brought her comfort, “stopping my nightmares and allowing me to focus on my dreams.”
