Ways to Give

Workplace Giving and Matching Gifts

Workplace giving programs are easy ways to support True Gound’s work. Through workplace giving and corporate sponsored matching gift programs, you can amplify your support for affordable housing initiatives and make a significant difference in the lives of our residents.

What is Workplace Giving and Corporate Matching?

Workplace Giving Campaigns

Many companies encourage employees to participate in workplace giving campaigns, where donations are deducted directly from your paycheck. This convenient and efficient way of giving allows you to support True Ground regularly, helping us plan and execute essential housing projects with confidence.

Corporate Matching Programs

Corporate matching programs are a focused way to double or even triple the impact of your donation. When you donate to True Ground, your employer matches your contribution, increasing the overall support for our mission. Check with your HR department to see if your company offers a matching program and how you can take advantage of this opportunity.

Empower Your Team to Give

By participating in workplace giving or corporate matching, you amplify the impact of your donations, directly supporting essential housing initiatives for our community. This convenient approach ensures your consistent support for True Ground without the inconvenience of managing separate donations.

Give at Work

Workplace Giving

You may be able to donate to True Ground directly from your paycheck via a workplace giving campaign. True Ground is a proud participant of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) available for federal government employees (CFC #89862), and the United Way of the National Capital Area (#8403). Here are the steps for establishing your True Ground donation through your workplace:

Verify True Ground as an Approved Charity

Check with your employer to confirm that True Ground is an approved charity for workplace giving.

Decide on a Donation Amount

Decide how much you want to donate based on your budget and the impact you wish to make. Choose the frequency of your donations (e.g., one-time, monthly, bi-weekly).

Enroll in the Program

Obtain the necessary forms or access the online portal provided by your employer to enroll in the workplace giving program. Complete the required information, including donation amount and frequency.

Set Up Payroll Deduction

Authorize payroll deductions, automatically allowing your employer to deduct the specified donation amount from your paycheck. Completed forms should be submitted to the appropriate department (e.g., HR, payroll) or through the online system.

Verify True Ground Received Your Donation

Once True Ground receives your initial donation, you will receive a timely tax receipt thanking you and confirming your support. Please keep these receipts for your records.

Matching Gifts

Your donation to True Ground may be eligible for a corporate match from your employer. Many companies will double – or even triple – your donation. When you donate to True Ground, your employer matches your contribution, increasing the overall support for our mission. Check with your HR department, or search below, to see if your company offers a matching program and how you can take advantage of this opportunity.
